Q: Do you need to subscribe to LinkedIn Premium?
If you are going to take social selling and marketing seriously, make the investment. It gives an implied credibility. In a competitive landscape, the little things add up. Having LinkedIn Premium isn’t necessary to still have a great presence on LinkedIn, but it does have some benefits for those who are looking to grow their professional network or want to enhance their personal branding.
Some other benefits of Premium are increased visibility, InMail credits (direct messaging to people outside your network on LinkedIn), LinkedIn Learning access, a Premium badge for credibility, and advanced search filters. It’s worth the 2 dollars a day it costs. The value of Premium, however, can depend on how frequently you use the platform. LinkedIn often offers a free trial of Premium, which can be a good way to test out the features and decide if it’s worth the investment for your specific needs.
