Rooming & Dining
Hotel rooms feature either a king-sized bed or, upon request and subject to availability, two double beds. Please note that additional rooms for family members will incur guest charges. If you require an extra room, please send an email to zultys@destinationsinc.com, and our team will be happy to assist you.
The JW Marriott is not an all-inclusive resort; however, Zultys has partnered directly with the hotel to provide Circle of Excellence guests with an all-inclusive experience. This includes select beverages and complimentary dining during the awards trip, as well as on any extended days — when booked through the Zultys Travel Team.
Extend Your Stay
You can benefit from Zultys’ discounted group rate for one night before, starting on March 1, or two nights after, through March 7. Please work with the Zultys Circle of Excellence travel team if you wish to extend your stay. Confirmation of your extended stay will be subject to availability and will be promptly confirmed. Please note that guests are responsible for payment directly to the hotel for these additional nights. The nightly all-inclusive run-of-house room rate is $833 (plus tax and resort fee) and based on double occupancy.
Complimentary transportation is exclusively provided between the airport and the JW Marriott Guanacaste Resort & Spa. If you choose to extend your stay at a different property, you will be responsible for arranging and covering transportation costs.
Keep in mind that extending your stay is subject to availability. During registration, you can request an extension, and a member of the Zultys Circle of Excellence team will confirm availability with the resort.

Air Travel
After you complete your registration form, the Zultys Circle of Excellence team will contact you via the email you provided to coordinate flight bookings for you and your guest. Please note that once your flight is booked, it is considered final.
While we will do our best to accommodate your preferred airline and seating preferences, these cannot be guaranteed. Any costs related to flight upgrades, modifications, or rescheduling will be the responsibility of the guest.
Ground Transportation
Arrivals
Upon arrival in Costa Rica, after clearing immigration, baggage claim, and customs, look for Costa Rica DMC travel staff holding a sign with the Zultys logo and a red balloon. You will then be guided to your pre-assigned private transportation for the transfer to the resort.
Departing
Your departure transportation will be scheduled to arrive at the resort 3 hours before your flight. Please ensure you are in the lobby at this time on your departure day to meet your transfer.
Kindly note that Zultys is not responsible for transportation between your home and your airport of origin, nor for your return travel from your airport of origin back to your home.

Activities
As part of your Zultys Circle of Excellence trip, we are excited to provide you and your guest with an off-site excursion experience on Monday, March 3, to explore the rugged beauty of Costa Rica’s breathtaking west coast with a guided adventure. Choose one of three incredible options, each blending excitement, discovery, and stunning scenery.
ATV & Zipline Combination with Lunch
Get ready for an unforgettable adventure as you soar through the breathtaking Guanacaste landscape on a zipline tour! Fly through the dry forest canopy and enjoy stunning views of the surrounding wetlands. The tour features nine suspended cables reaching heights of up to 120 meters (393 feet), 18 platforms, and a thrilling longest line of 600 meters (1,968 feet).
Next, kick up some dust with an exhilarating ATV ride through the dry forests of Guanacaste on a private hacienda. Speed along dirt roads and winding trails, surrounded by the natural beauty of the region, and keep an eye out for local wildlife.
Wrap up the excursion with a freshly prepared local meal, enjoyed on-site alongside fellow award recipients.

Tamarindo is world-famous for its incredible waves, making it a premier destination for surfers of all skill levels. With each part of the beach offering unique surfing conditions, it’s the perfect spot whether you’re a seasoned pro or a complete beginner. Age is no barrier—if you’ve always dreamed of learning to surf, this is your chance!
The half-day tour starts on the golden sands of Tamarindo Beach, where you’ll practice your moves on land under the guidance of a skilled instructor. Once you’re ready, it’s time to head into the water and ride the waves, putting your new skills to the test.
Surf lessons are not just instructional—they’re a whole lot of fun! Get ready for an unforgettable experience on one of Costa Rica’s most iconic beaches.

Conveniently located near major hotels such as the JW Marriott, The Westin Playa Conchal, and W Costa Rica, Tamarindo is a charming tropical village that perfectly blends natural beauty with vibrant commerce. Always buzzing with energy, it’s the ideal spot for a day of shopping and exploration.
Your half-day tour begins with a picturesque journey through quaint villages, cattle farmlands, and breathtaking views of a nearby mountain range draped in tropical dry forest. Along the way, your destination expert will share fascinating insights and local tips to enrich your experience.
Once you arrive in Tamarindo, you’ll visit a variety of arts and crafts shops, art galleries, and boutiques featuring local designer pieces, including stunning batik and tie-dye beachwear made right in the region. After the guided portion of the tour, you’ll have free time to explore, shop, or simply soak in the vibrant atmosphere at your leisure.

Afternoon and Dinner at Leisure: See the available dining options below. There is an optional group lunch planned at Azul at 12:30 PM before the surfing and shopping excursions — feel free to join us too. Zultys will also have select reservations for dinner if you want to join a group. Sign-ups will be available at check-in on Sunday.
After dinner, join an optional outing for cocktails and local rum tasting at the JW’s onsite Rum Bar.
Tuesday, March 4
Morning and Afternoon at Leisure
Join Zultys poolside and unwind with fellow attendees as you soak in the Costa Rican state of mind. If you take part in any offsite excursions, please allow enough time for your return so that you are ready for our awards reception at 7 PM.

Can I extend my stay?

How do I confirm my travel?
Please complete the registration form. A member of the Zultys Circle of Excellence team will reach out to you within 24 business hours of your completed registration form.
What is the deadline to confirm my travel?
The deadline to book is January 31.
Can I change my flight?
You will be responsible for any costs associated with flight upgrades, modifications, or rescheduling.
What happens at check-in?
Upon your arrival, kindly provide your passport to the front desk upon check-in. Additionally, the resort will require a credit card for any incidentals and expenses not included in your Circle of Excellence coverage. If your room is not yet available, feel free to store your luggage and make use of the amenities until your official check-in time.
What documents do I need to travel?
You will need a valid passport (valid for at least 6 months).

What should I pack and wear?
Daytime attire at the resort is casual. A hat is recommended for sun protection. Remember to wear cover-ups and shoes in common areas.
Casual elegant attire is recommended for dinners.
Pack shorts, T-shirts, swimwear, sunglasses, sunscreen, a waterproof jacket, insect repellent, and walking/waterproof closed-toe shoes. If you are planning to take part in the ATV & Zipline excursion, plan to wear athletic clothing that you don’t mind getting very dirty.

Should I get travel insurance?

What currency is used?
The official currency in Costa Rica is the Colón. Foreign currency may be exchanged for Colón at banks and in airports. However, most purchases may also be made in U.S. dollars.

Should I tip at the resort?
Gratuities have been covered for the Circle of Excellence trip. You are not required to provide any additional gratuities, but if you feel like exceptional service has been provided, you are more than welcome to show your appreciation.
